Regulation & Licenses

PolyExhange is a custodial spot venue. We are not a bank, not a public company, and we do not pretend a footer badge is a banking charter. This page states what we are, what we are not, and how we handle compliance work.

1. Regulatory status

Digital-asset rules differ by country and change. PolyExhange provides a custodial account for spot balances, swaps, and an order book as described in the Terms. We do not hold ourselves out as a licensed deposit-taking bank or as a securities exchange in every jurisdiction from which a browser can load this site.

Where the footer or an account statement names a license, entity, or registration, that line is the operative disclosure for that domain. If no license line is shown, do not assume we hold one in your country. You are responsible for whether you are allowed to use a venue like this where you live.

2. What we are not

  • We are not your broker, fiduciary, or investment adviser.
  • We are not FDIC-insured, FSCS-protected, or covered by a similar deposit guarantee just because the UI looks like a wallet.
  • We do not issue the listed tokens. Issuers and chains have their own documents.
  • PCI, ISO, and similar marks in the footer describe operational practices we align with; they are not a government license to take deposits.

3. AML, sanctions and prohibited use

We may refuse, delay, or reverse activity we reasonably believe involves stolen funds, mixers used to hide crime, sanctioned persons, or structuring. We may file reports with financial-intelligence units where the law requires it. You agree in the Terms not to use the exchange for those purposes. Withdrawal review exists in part so a person can stop a transfer that should not go out.

4. Identity verification

Base accounts can exist with email and a password. Higher limits and some fee tiers require KYC, reviewed by a person. We can ask for verification at any time if risk or law requires it, including before a withdrawal is released. Rejected KYC includes a reason you can read in the account. Details on data use are in the Privacy Policy.

5. Operational standards on this exchange

Regardless of license labels, the exchange is built around a few controls you can actually see:

  • Deposits credit after network confirmation — the chain already did the work.
  • Withdrawals go through a human check before they are sent.
  • The book is not padded with fake depth. House fills, when they happen, are at the live rate with spread shown.
  • Prices come from a public market feed unless a coin is flagged as exchange-set.

Those controls are described on Security and About. They are how we run the venue day to day, not a substitute for reading the Terms.

6. If the law changes

We may geo-restrict the site, close onboarding in a country, demand KYC, or wind down an asset if a regulator or a bank partner requires it. We will try to let you withdraw remaining balances where the chain still works and the order is lawful. We will not keep a product live just because it was convenient last quarter.

Questions about entity names, registered addresses, or a specific license line go through the help center. Law-enforcement process is handled under the Law Enforcement Request Policy.
