Getting started

Trade vs Swap: which one to use

Trade is the order book. Swap is an instant conversion of balances you already hold. Same wallet, different tools.

Keep this page — the product described here is what the exchange actually runs.

Use Trade when

You want to buy or sell a listed asset against USDT with a chosen order type:

  • Market — fill now at whatever the book + house rate will give you
  • Limit — rest a price and wait
  • Stop-limit — wake a limit when a trigger is crossed

You also use Trade to read the chart, the book, open orders, and fills. Funds come from available USDT (buys) or the base asset (sells).

Use Swap when

You already hold asset A and want asset B immediately, at the posted rate, without parking a limit. Example: USDT → BTC in one click, or BTC → ETH without first selling to USDT on the book (the swap engine still prices through the live rates).

Swap does not create an open order. If it fails, nothing rests.

Same fees family

Both pay the VIP % documented on Fees. Swap is not a “secret cheaper path”.

Common mix-up

“I swapped but it didn’t wait for my price.” Correct — Swap never waits. Place a limit on Trade.

“I placed a limit and it filled instantly.” The market was already through your price, or the house filled the remainder. That is Trade working, not Swap sneaking in.
